In a classic video about a rather old version of the Mac OS, this man complains that you can put the dock on the bottom, the left, and the right, but not the top. I don’t really see why you would want the dock to sit on the top, but I suppose somebody somewhere really wants this feature. This is why I am here. The tool you need to get your hands on is called TinkerTool. It is completely free, so fear not about your piggy bank.
Launch TinkerTool and go to the Dock pane. Go to the position section, and click the drop down menu. Select “top” instead of your current position.
As you can see, now you have your dock sitting right below your menu bar. You’re welcome.
