Alfred is one of the many power user launcher utilities out there for OS X, and in recent years, it’s stolen a lot of the thunder from competing apps like Quicksilver and Launchbar. I think that a lot of that has to do with Alfred’s more modern look and fit with the more modern look of iOS.
