The new iPod Touch lacks the vibration mechanism that is present in the iPhone, despite early indicators from Apple stating that a user would ” receive an invitation — along with a vibrating alert” when they received a video call request. This is likely another case of Apple taking copy from one product (the iPhone) and using it for another product (the iPod Touch). So, if you were planning on getting a nice little vibration in your pocket from time to time, you’re going to need to upgrade to an iPhone.
iFixit also made it pretty obvious the device lacked any vibrating mechanisms in their teardown of the new iPod Touch. We weren’t expecting the vibrator to be included anyway, considering the amount of misquotes and misinformation out of Apple about the iPod Touch. We wouldn’t be surprised at this point to hear that FaceTime wasn’t included either. What are we talking about? Earlier this week Apple removed pictures on the iPod Touch page that highlighted calling and SMS features on the iPod Touch.
It looks like you’re going to have to wait for the next iPod Touch before you can use MyVibe.
