Showyou, the iPad video browsing app, gives users the best videos from the web, chosen by friends and people they know. Previously only available for the iPad, the developers behind Showyou have just released an iPhone version, built from the ground up.
For those not familiar with Showyou, the app shows a feed of popular and recent videos based on each user’s Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, Vimeo, and Tumblr streams. According to Apple, Showyou users can:
- Browse through videos from your friends on Facebook and people you follow on Twitter in a delightful and immersive two-dimensional grid on the iPad
- Follow video feeds from other users and channels, including the Daily Show, Colbert Report, TED, Reddit TV, Pitchfork and more
- Seamlessly share videos with your friends on Showyou Facebook, Twitter or by email
- Search our hand-picked index of over 50 million videos, all selected by our users and their friends
Showyou is also personalized so that users can see comments made by friends beside each video. This app is a great way to see and share videos with friends using social media websites that people are already familiar with. And now, for those who don’t own iPads, all of these great features are available for the iPhone!
