Sometimes I forget how lucky we are when it comes to having content in the United States iTunes Store. Apple released their first five TV Shows in the iTunes Store in 2005. Then in 2006 they made movies available from all of the major Hollywood Studios. So, it’s easy to forget that there are other countries that don’t have the same access to TV Shows and movies in their iTunes Store.
Yesterday Ireland and France’s iTunes Store has begun carrying movies from all of the Major Studios, plus some European Studios.
Movies & Pricing for Ireland
“Apple today announced that movies from major film studios including 20th Century Fox, Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Studios Inc. (MGM), Paramount Pictures, Sony Pictures Home Entertainment, Universal Studios, The Walt Disney Company and Warner Bros. The iTunes Store is offering top-rated movies including “Avatar,” “The Twilight Saga: New Moon,” “Up,” “The Hangover,” “Iron Man” and “Harry Brown.”
“iTunes movie purchases and rentals require a valid credit card with a billing address in Ireland. iTunes movies start at €7.99 for catalog title purchases, €9.99 for recent releases and €13.99 for new releases. iTunes Movie Rentals are €2.99 for library title rentals and €3.99 for new releases, and high definition versions are priced at just one euro more.”

That is a pretty impressive line-up of Studios and movies for both countries. We can now add two more countries to list that can now watch movies like we do in the United States.
