Back in October, Rockstar Games announced that it would be bringing Grand Theft Auto: Vice City to iOS and Android this fall to celebrate the game’s 10th anniversary. The company has recently confirmed that the game will arrive on the App Store and Google Play on December 6 and it’ll sell for $4.99.
The price doesn’t come as much of a surprise since Grand Theft Auto 3 went for the same price when it came to mobile last year.
Vice City is set in the 1980s and is the second installment of the 3D series and the first to introduce the ability to ride motorcycles. This version of the game will have a few improvements over the original console version. Rockstar has promised “updated character models and lighting effects, new and more precise firing and targeting options, a fully customizable control layout and native support for Retina display devices.”
The game will be compatible with fourth-generation iOS devices like the iPhone 4 and fourth-generation iPod touch, and above. It will also work with every iPad version, including the original.
We’re pumped.
