So, we’ve seen the old CRT-style iMacs made into all sorts of neat things. One of the most famous examples of iMac DIY projects is turning it into an aquarium. Thing is, most of us don’t know the first thing about making aquariums — let alone turning a computer into one. That’s why this project on Kickstarter is so damn cool.
For $225 USD, you can get your very own conversion kit and video instructions on how to turn your G3 iMac into a fully-functional aquarium. If you live outside of the continental United States, you’re going to need to add $25 USD to ship your kit.
Oh, you don’t want to put it together yourself? You’re too lazy, you say? Well, you’re in luck. For $350 USD, you can buy a completely finished iMac aquarium, and get it shipped to you anywhere in the world. Sadly, there is a hard limit to the number available, and as of publication, there are only ten left. DON’T WAIT, slackers!
The best news is that this project has already crossed the $5,000 USD mark, so it will be funded for sure. You only have 23 more days left to order your kit, though, so pull out that credit card and get to gettin’!
