While we keep waiting for iOS 7.1 and the small handful of improvements it might bring, you can wet your iOS firmware whistle today by downloading the newly released iOS 7.0.6.
Unfortunately, the 7.0.6 update doesn’t do all that much. The only official info Apple gave with the release is that it “provides a fix for SSL connection verification.” But if you’re bored and just want to see some download and installing screens for a few minutes, this update has got you covered.
Apple also chose to release iOS update 6.1.6 for any old school users still using an iPhone 3GS or a 4th-Gen iPod touch. No news yet on what’s included in that update, but if you’re reading this, odds are that update probably won’t affect you too much.
With all the recent beta releases of iOS 7.1, don’t expect to wait too much longer until we get a more meaty update.
