If you still haven’t been convinced to sign-up for Amazon’s Amazon Prime service, perhaps this will change your mind. Amazon has announced that items will now ship to Prime members even on Sundays, starting as an option for customers in Los Angeles and New York City with plans to expand to other cities later.
The new Sunday shipping feature comes out of a partnership with the U.S. Postal Service, who will now deliver packages to Amazon Prime shoppers any day of the week. Amazon says it plans to expand the option to a “large portion” of the U.S. in 2014, with Dallas, Houston, New Orleans, and Phoenix being some of the first in line.
If you’re an Amazon Prime member, you can order a backpack for your child on Friday and be packing it for them Sunday night,” saidDave Clark, Amazon’s vice president of worldwide operations and customer service. “We’re excited that now every day is an Amazon delivery day and we know our Prime members, who voraciously shop on Amazon, will love the additional convenience they will experience as part of this new service.
Now whenever you find yourself at home wasting away your Sunday, you can just say that you’re waiting for the mailman.
