Amazon’s strategy is focused on making it as easy as possible for you to give them your money. Whether it’s a phone, a talking speaker, or a button you put in your pantry. The Dash button is a Wi-Fi gadget you stick somewhere in your house that allows you to automatically place an Amazon order.
The button is pitched as being placed through out the house where you have stuff you use everyday and run our of. In the video it was coffee, laundry detergent, and paper towels that you could order with a single press. Right now it’s only available to Prime Members by invitation.
Now that 1-click ordering is in the real world, I think that it will make it easier than ever for people to replace trips to the big box store with an Amazon order. It certainly makes a lot more sense than a talking speaker. Watch the video below for the whole pitch.
