Mark your calendars. BioShock Infinite, the third game of the series, will officially launch on the Mac on August 29. The game is being brought to the Mac by Aspyr Media, in collaboration with developers Irrational Games and publisher 2K Games.
Much to the disappointment of Mac users, BioShock Infinite was first released for PCs back in March. The game takes place in the floating city of Columbia in the year 1912. You’ll play the role of former Pinkerton agent Booker Dewitt in the standard storyline, but you can also opt for some downloadable content packs that Aspyr will make available on the Mac version.
You’ll be able to download the game through the Mac App Store, Steam or through Aspyr’s GameAgent website, but preorders start today. If you decide to preorder the game through GameAgent, you’ll also receive the Columbia’s Finest DLC as a free bonus. If you have a GameAgent account you’ll also get 20% off your purchase.
