I’ll come right out and say it: I’m a huge fan of Apple’s Smart Cover for the iPad and iPad mini. While it may not cover the back of your iPad, it protects your screen while keeping the rest of your iPad looking clean and classy. To be completely honest, I’m disappointed that Apple hasn’t released a Smart Cover for the iPhone 5. Because of this, designer Adrien Olczak has taken matters into his own hands and thrown together a pretty intriguing concept of what a Smart Cover for the iPhone 5 would look like if brought to the market.
Even though we’ve seen Smart Cover clones hit the market for the iPhone 4/4S, none of them have looked nearly as good as Olczak’s mockup. We really hope someone runs with this idea, although we’re not sure if it would work well with the iPhone, as the iPhone 5 lacks magnets that the iPad has in order to keep the Smart Cover attached. But we’re sure someone could figure out an innovative way to attach the cover.
If you’re into design concepts, you should check out the rest of Olczak’s work.
