If you love to take pictures or movies with your iPhone, you are undoubtedly stuck holding the phone up to your face. You have to see almost everything through the iPhone’s screen, and everyone else sees the back of your phone instead of your face. The dreaded “Phone Face,” if you will. If that bugs the hell out of you, you’re going to want the MirrorCase.
For a pledge of only $50 USD, this case uses a set of mirrors to take images and record video straight ahead of you while holding the phone flat in the palm of your hand. Think of this device as moving your rear-facing camera next to the wake/sleep button on the top of your phone.
It comes paired with its own app that flips and inverts the image to display it correctly. It’s a slight inconvenience that it doesn’t work normally with any old generic photography or recording app, but you can easily export the photo or movie to work with other apps like iMovie or Intstagram.
To make this happen, the MirrorCase Kickstarter project needs to raise a total of $25,000 USD in the next 39 days. As of publication, they have broken the $1,000 USD mark, so they’re well on the way. Get to gettin’!
