You’ve probably heard of Lapka at this point (if not check the link), and it’s becoming pretty clear that personal environment sensors are quickly becoming a “thing” around the web. The Neatatmo is a personal urban weather station that tracks the weather both outside and inside using built-in sensors and other voodoo magic.
The iPhone app that accompanies the snazzy monitoring device will keep track of all kinds of things, from CO2 levels to humidity, and other air quality markers, all in real-time. It’s a fantastic idea if you’re living somewhere that sees crazy temperature differentials, high humidity, or even if your house runs on gas heating. The fact that the Netatmo also sends the information remotely to your iPhone is pretty fantastic too. Can’t beat that kind of information on hand at all times.

The Netatmo sells for $179 online, and it’s already available for order. You can get it on Amazon.
This would make a nice addition to a home with a Nest, WeMo, and those fancy Phillips light bulbs. I’m pretty sure I know what I’m blowing my next pay check on…
