A jailbreaker from George Mason University is pulling in $50,000 per year jailbreaking and unlocking iPhones for those who have no idea where to begin. No joke.
The Washington Post has reported that Kevin Lee has turned jailbreaking into a fledgling business while attending university. While the business started out as a small job, it’s turned into a 30-40 phones per week operation.
Maybe we’re in the wrong business.
Lee’s customers were originally students, but as his business has grown he’s jailbroken some pretty important peoples’ phones. Notably, a Mongolian embassy worker who was hoping to use the phone once he returned home. His clientele obviously consists of more than rabble rousers on campus looking to stick it to the establishment.
So here’s the next obvious question, who wants to team up with us to start a jailbreaking business? We’ve got a pretty good marketing tool here on the website.
