The Apple Online Store in both the United States and Canada are showing that the iPhone 5 is now ‘In Stock’. This is the first time that Apple has caught up with demand for the iPhone 5 since launch. In mid-November shipping times improved to 2-3 weeks and eventually slimmed down to 2 weeks by the end of the month. As of now, almost all Apple Stores have all models of the device in stock and ready to sell.
The iPhone 5 was announced in September and was put up for sale later that month. The iPhone 5 features an A6 CPU, 1GB of RAM and is available in 16GB, 32GB and 64GB models, which retail for $199, $299 and $399, respectively, on a two-year contract in the United States. Apple sold roughly 5 million phones in its first weekend on the market. The company would’ve likely sold more as well, but Apple reportedly ran out of stock towards the end of the first weekend.
