A new version of the Kindle app for iOS has been released by Amazon. Version 3.2 brings some new layout options for the iPad, as well as a number of new features and tools for both iPhone and iPad versions of the Kindle app. The application also has three different margin sizes so you can adjust the amount of whitespace for a better reading experience.
Both the iPhone and iPad version of the Kindle app now have a quick highlighting tool so users can easily mark important passages for future reference. There is also improved brightness control with a more responsive brightness slider as well as optimized font hues.
A number of additions are aimed at supporting print replica textbooks. You can highlight photos, illustrations, tables, and charts. There’s also a new Notebook feature that compiles every note, bookmark, highlight, and image in one place. You can also now tag each entry for easier filtering, and searching when you need it.
The Kindle application for iOS is free and runs on any device with iOS 4.3 or later.
