It didn’t take long for Apple to run out of its initial iPhone 5 pre-order stock (one hour actually). And it was previously reported that Apple sold two million iPhone 5 units in the first 24 hours that it went up for pre-order and shipping estimates soon slipped to 2-3 weeks. Apple is falling even further behind, with shipping estimates falling to 3-4 weeks.
Shipping estimates had remained somewhat steady at 2-3 weeks but it was noticed late last night that supply is definitely not meeting demand. Those anxious to get their hands on the new iPhone 5 are going to have to wait even longer.
The iPhone 5 will officially hit stores in two days time, on Friday. I’m not sure what seems the most appealing – waiting close to a month to get the new iPhone in the mail or braving the lines and crowds who are sure to be out well before doors open on Friday.
