Rockstar Games has announced that it will be bringing its hit game Grand Theft Auto: Vice City to iOS and Android devices this fall. The game is being released in honor of the 10th anniversary of the original Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, which was released back in October 2002 on the Playstation 2.
Rockstar says that the game will bring “the full experience to mobile devices, featuring native high-resolution graphics and several enhancements unique to the iOS and Android platforms.”
This follows the trend Rockstar set last year when they brought Grand Theft Auto 3 to iOS to commemorate that game’s own 10 year anniversary. GTA 3 for iOS was generally well received despite various complaints about the game’s touchscreen controls.
I’m just hoping we’re able to see Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas show up on our phones and tablets before its 10th anniversary arrives in late 2014.
