Since Ballmer thinks the Microsoft Surface is the panacea for the entire tablet industry, we figured that now would be a good time to tell you that iFixit has torn the device apart and provided some insights on the devices repairability. According to its findings, the Surface gets a 4 out of 10 for repairabilitiy, which is two full points higher than the third generation iPad (2 out of 10).
We’re not really the type that would pull apart an iPad or Surface to fix it, but if you are, the iFixit guide reveals some interesting things about the Surface. The device has a 10.6-inch ClearType HD Display (resolution of 1366×768 pixels), Quad-core NVIDIA Tegra 3 processor, 2 GB RAM, Wi-Fi (802.11a/b/g/n) + Bluetooth 4.0, and 720p HD Front and Rear facing LifeCams.
Oh, and the Surface has lots of ports and buttons.
