Apple has started notifying U.S. customers by email that the new iPad mini with support for 3G/4G LTE networks will begin shipping in five business days. Specific delivery dates weren’t given, however, although Apple said it would follow up with a tracking number and carrier information in another email.
The iPad mini first launched on November 2 with the Wi-Fi only models and a promise from Apple that the cellular models would be available by mid-November.
Right now, Apple’s online store is still listing a two week shipping estimate for both the Wi-Fi only and Wi-Fi- + Cellular versions of the iPad mini. The wait will likely be longer for those outside of the U.S., such as in the UK whose Apple Store shows late November for the 4G-enabled iPad mini and two weeks for the Wi-Fi only model.
