Borderlands, a popular Xbox 360 game, will finally be making its way to iOS under the name Borderlands Legends. Plans for this game were originally announced yesterday on Entertainment Weekly.
This version of the game will not be the same as the Xbox version, however, as the developers of Borderlands Legends have decided to do away with the first-person shooter style of gameplay in favor of a “birds eye view”. This will allow players to conserve screen real estate and control a whole four-person shooter. Other aspects of the game, like bandit types and action skills, will remain the same. And don’t worry, you loot-junkies will still be able to collect objects throughout the game.
Borderlands Legends will be available on iOS this Halloween for $4.99 for the iPhone and $9.99 for the iPad. Personally, I think this game will be a big hit among Borderlands fans like myself. Borderlands coming to iOS also shows that console game makers are depending less on traditional game systems for revenue and are moving to mobile platforms as well.
Did anyone else just get ten times more excited for Halloween? I know I did.
