If you’re a music enthusiast, chances are you like to listen to music when you’re on the go. And while you probably use headphones to fulfill this need, they can’t be used when hanging out with music-loving friends and family when at the park or beach. In these types of situations, you’ll probably want to use a Bluetooth speaker to play music. Unfortunately, most Bluetooth speaker options on the market are pretty expensive with some retailing for over $200. However, the folks at Divoom are aiming to fix this issue with the $80 Onbeat-200.
The Onbeat-200 is a Bluetooth and AUX compatible portable speaker. It’s designed similar to the ever so popular Jawbone Jambox, though it has rounded edges. The device’s audio controls are on the top and allow you to control volume and perform other functions. The Onbeat-200 is available in a variety of color options including blue, red, black and silver.
As far as audio quality goes, the Onbeat-200 looks to pack a punch for its price tag. The speaker can output 8W of audio and features 50mm drivers with a passive bass radiator. The speaker is powered by a rechargeable battery that can last through roughly 6-hours of music playtime or 8-hours of speakerphone usage.
Not only can you use the Onbeat-200 for listening to music, but you can use it as a speakerphone as well. When connected to a smartphone, users can use the speaker’s built-in microphone to talk to friends, family and colleagues.
