It’s not every single day you get to pop your head into the factory of a multi-billion dollar tech company. Today’s that day. Rob Schmitz, a journalist for Marketplace, was granted access to Foxconn. Today, Marketplace has released a brief 2:36 video online that shows off how iPads are made in Foxconn factories.
Also of interest are the millions of dollars spent on recreational facilities at the factories. Schmitz doesn’t sugarcoat his words; he points out that the work is often tedious and long, but he also points out that the doom and gloom we’ve been hearing in the western media is sensationalized fiction.
It’s an interesting video, so give it a watch.
