Not tired of Lion and MacBook Air rumors? Well, AppleInsider has a new one out, and the site seems quite confident in its information:
Apple as early as Wednesday will launch two highly anticipated products: Mac OS X 10.7 Lion and new Thunderbolt-equipped MacBook Airs, AppleInsider has learned. According to people with proven track records who would be in a position to know, the new product launches are set to occur later this week. Specifically, one person said the products would be released on Wednesday at 8:30 a.m. Eastern.
The site is also reporting that the new Airs will ship with a minimum of 4 GB of RAM, up from 2 GB on the current models, and 128 GB of storage, up from 64 GB of storage found on the $999 machine.
It is reported that Apple has been holding off on releasing the machines until OS X Lion is ready. AppleInsider believes that Lion is ready to go, but last-minute logistical issues with the Mac App Store have slowed things down a little bit.
Gold Master 1 of Lion was seeded to Mac developers on July 1.
