After Apple was paid just over a billion dollars in damages for winning their case against Samsung, Apple has released the list of devices they want pulled from the market. And while 28 devices were included in the lawsuit, not all of the devices are still for sale in the United States. This seems to be the reason why Apple is only choosing to pull 8 devices. We have listed the phones that Apple wants to have banned below:
- Galaxy S 4G
- Galaxy S2 (AT&T)
- Galaxy S2 (Skyrocket)
- Galaxy S2 (T-Mobile)
- Galaxy S2 Epic 4G
- Galaxy S Showcase
- Droid Charge
- Galaxy Prevail
Most of these devices are either sold as budget phones on major nationwide carriers such as Sprint and AT&T or as high-end prepaid phones. For instance, the popular American prepaid phone carrier Boost Mobile is supposed to start carrying the Galaxy S2 this month.
What does Apple have to do to put an injunction on these phones? Honestly, not too much. Apple will have to convince the court that the listed devices caused irreparable harm to Apple. This shouldn’t be too hard to do considering Apple already convinced the jury to force Samsung to write them a $1.o5 billion dollar check.
