Apple has just started offering its popular “Ship-to-Store” service for all of its Certified Refurbished products on the Apple Online Store. You can have refurbished Apple products shipped to the Apple Store of your choice by simply checking the “Pick up” option when checking out on the Apple Online Store. The products will then be dispatched to said Apple Store. When they arrive, Apple will send you an iMessage and an email notifying you of the arrival.
Since Apple Stores do not currently stock refurbished products, the device will take a few days to arrive at the store. While you won’t be able to avoid the excitement filled wait time that comes with any Apple device purchase, you will be able to avoid stolen packages or pre-signed shipments. This service will also allow you to receive immediate assistance in setting up your refurbished device.
Apple has offered its “Ship-to-Store” service since 2011. The service allows users to pick up their new Apple purchases in-store instead of having it shipped to their house or flat. If the selected Apple Store has the product in-stock at the time of order, you can usually pick up your device within a couple of hours. Personally, I’ve tried using the service when ordering a MacBook in the past and had to wait almost 24 hours for the computer to be available. Hopefully that’s an isolated issue.
