In an official-looking email, Apple has announced to iOS developers that all iCloud music libraries will be deleted “as we prepare for the launch of iTunes Match.”
Set for November 12th at 10pm PST, Apple has asked that iTunes Match be disabled on all devices in preparation for the move.
I’ve predicted the launch before, and of course Apple had to not only break my iTunes for an entire 24 hours, but make me look like an idiot in front of the entire Internet. Good thing I love them.
But, I do not fear looking like an idiot this time around, as this very specifically worded email has me all jittery with excitement. The service has vastly improved during the beta, and I haven’t had any issues with it in the past week or so, other than Sprint deciding that speed just isn’t for everyone.
Take it with a grain of salt, as always, but keep your eyes peeled for a Software Update this Monday. iTunes 10.5.1 should find its way onto your Mac very, very soon.
