It turns out that the folks at RadTech feel your pain and have started to offer the ScreenSavrz for iMac. This product is essentially a large microfiber cloth with form fitting edges that wrap around the corners of your iMac, forming a seal that keeps dust out when your iMac isn’t in use.
When the ScreenSavrz isn’t being used to protect your iMac’s screen from dust when it’s not in use, it can be used to clean your iMac’s screen of fingerprints, existing dust and other annoyances. The product is crafted from RadTech’s popular Optex fabric. This fabric is non-woven, making it smooth and safe for your iMac’s glass screen. If needed, you can also use the ScreenSavrz cloth to clean your iPhone or iPad’s screen as well as CDs and DVDs.
If you’d like a ScreenSavrz cloth for your iMac, you’ll have to pay somewhere between $19.95 and $54.95 for a cloth. The product is available in 8 different colors and is available for the iMac G4, G5 and all Intel models, though the 2012 iMac edition is still “coming soon”.
