I don’t know about you, but I’m tired of hearing new iPhone release date rumors. However, this one seems intriguing. Multiple sources have been pointing towards a September 21st release date of the latest iteration of the iPhone. Boy Genius Report has reported that two tech blogs, PhoneArena and App4Phone, have both predicted the same release date for the new iPhone. Both blogs are citing unnamed sources, which are reporting the release on the same date and could quite possibly be the same tipster.
As of now, we are not sure how accurate these sources are, or if they have a good track record. PhoneArena and App4Phone both have no proven track record, so this rumor could be totally false. However, the new iPhone is expected to launch somewhere between September and October, as the iPhone 4S was released in October of 2011.
The new iPhone is rumored to sport a new, quad-core “A6” CPU with 1GB of ram and a larger 4-inch screen. The new iPhone will likely feature a new design to house the larger display and could quite possibly have a metal backplate. In the comments, let us know what you’re hoping for in the new iPhone!
