According to Will Strafach (aka @Chronic), Apple has completed its quality assurance tests on iOS 5.1, and the company is now getting ready to release the operating system to the masses in the coming days.
Strafach also goes on to point out on his blog that iOS 5.1 has Japanese language support for Siri and an “easier method of accessing the camera from the lock screen, and at least two other new features that have not been publicly leaked.”
With the big iPad 3 announcement less than 24 hours away, many are expecting Apple to announce iOS 5.1 tomorrow and even potentially release the software to the wild. We’re pretty interested to know what those two previously unleaked features may be in iOS 5.1. At this point we have absolutely no idea.
By the way, we’re live streaming during the iPad 3 event tomorrow. Check out the details.
