Find Your Electoral Soul Mate With Voter for iPhone

The cynical may have already taken a look at the early debates in this election cycle, and decided that they were better off tuning out. Not that anyone could blame you, but Voter might help you get an idea on which candidates match your views on the issues.

This isn’t anything new, there’s been a ton of quizzes and other interactive voter guides on the web. I am not sure that you’ll want to keep this in your pocket for the next 13 months but it is a good place to start. The app asks you questions about your views and pairs you with a party, a presidential candidate, and a Senate candidate. There’s another area labeled more on the way, which is also the message you’ll get when trying to read about your matched Senate candidate. There also a third set of questions that aren’t ready yet.

You can forgive a bit of incompleteness, as the election is pretty far off. On the other hand, it’s a frustrating user experience. The app has a really nice look, and the questions are in plain language. So I reccommend this for people that feel on the outside of the normal electoral coverage

What’s Good: Easy way to get an idea of your ideal candidate matche.

What Sucks: Lots of missing sections.

Buy It?: If you’re looking for an outside of the bubble evaluation of your political beliefs, check out Voter. Get it on the App Store for free.
