Like buying a new pair of jeans, or a new suit, buying an iOS device should also come with the ability to buy ‘appcessories’ before you leave the store. Since Apple pretty much knows what we need before we do, you can expect to see these iOS accessories featured more prominently in your favourite Apple Stores around the globe.
In an interview with T3, Jawbone’s Head of Special Projects, Bandar Antabi, spilled the beans:
Apple is absolutely going to be a driving force in the push of appcessories.” He added: “I wouldn’t be surprised if we didn’t start seeing appcessory sections within some of the Apple Stores in the near future.
Antabi went on to point out that, “Appcessories are going to play a significant role in the future of smartphones and applications.” We’re pretty sure they’re already playing that significant role already, just ask anyone who uses the iPad to make music on the iPad. There’s a lot of frivolous accessories already on the market, but for every one of those there’s someone out there who needs a way to connect their guitar to an iPad. The more Apple features these useful devices, the better off we’re all going to be. If we’re in a post-PC world, like Apple claims, we’re going to have to start making way for more peripherals for our iOS devices.
By the way, if you want that golf club, you can get it on Amazon.
