Geekbench scores for the new MacBook Pro with Retina Display models have already begun to hit the web. While some of these scores are reported to be fake, the folks at MacRumors have separated the real and fake scores and we have posted the real 32-bit Geekbench 3 scores below:
13-inch MacBook Pro with Retina Display (dual-core):
- i5-4258U @ 2.4 GHz: Single-Core 2613, Multi-Core 5248
- i5-4288U @ 2.6 GHz: Single-Core 2856, Multi-Core 5954
- i7-4558U @ 2.8 GHz: Single-Core 3000, Multi-Core 6189
15-inch MacBook Pro with Retina Display (quad-core):
- i7-4750HQ @ 2.0 GHz: Single-Core 2844, Multi-Core 10887
- i7-4850HQ @ 2.3 GHz: Single-Core 3100, Multi-Core 11771
- i7-4960HQ @ 2.6 GHz: Single-Core 3379, Multi-Core 12813
Compared to the previous generation of MacBook Pro with Retina Displays, a line of computers that feature Intel Ivy Bridge CPUs, the Haswell-based 2013 MacBook Pro with Retina Displays feature a roughly 4% to 10% speed bump. This speed bump is pretty standard for a yearly upgrade.
Apple announced updated MacBook Pro with Retina Display laptops yesterday at its iPad event. Both the 13-inch and 15-inch models feature updated CPUs and now offer Intel’s Iris graphics chips. The 13-inch model also features a slimmer form, matching the thinness of the 15-inch model.
