It’s less than two hours until this year’s WWDC keynote, and the rumours are getting more and more and more out there. Our colleagues over at The Unofficial Apple Weblog have reported that one user has seen a full refund after renewing his annual MobileMe subscription this week.
There have been a lot of reports, rumours and opinions about what will happen to MobileMe after today. Some say it will merge with the already announced iCloud or that it could be rebranded to Casle, as well as be cheaper or completely free.
This report of an immediate refund after the auto-renewal function of MobileMe charged the user’s credit card could be seen as a hint at a cheaper price for Apple’s cloud-services, but may also be nothing but a mistake.
After the news broke people started tweeting that they didn’t experience anything like the original report, but instead, they were charged as expected, and in some cases charged even more.
So, it seems like there’s nothing else to say but the usual: we will see what happens in a few hours time. Have you experienced a refund of your currently renewed MobileMe subscription or did Apple just take the money and keep it? Tell us in the comments!
