The Macworld/iWorld Expo and Conference has been rescheduled to take place from Thursday, March 27th to Saturday, March 29th. The event was originally supposed to be held from the previous date of February 1st to 3rd. The supposed reasoning behind this date switch is likely how close the previous date was to CES 2014 and the Superbowl.
The conference is also moving to Moscone North from Moscone West. Moscone North is a larger expo floor that is located just down the street from Moscone West. IDG World Expo has said that this switch will make the conference and expo easier for both attendees and exhibitors. IDG has also said that it is booking for its largest event since Apple left the show in 2009.
As a regular attendee of Macworld since 2011, I’m excited for the date and expo floor change. The date change will help media and exhibitors get over the shock and awe of CES and really focus on Macworld. The expo floor change hopefully foreshadows a much larger expo floor and speaker list. Due to these changes, I will definitely attend the event come March 2014.
Macworld/iWorld Expo is a conference and expo floor for Mac and iOS enthusiasts. Tons of exhibitors show off accessories at the show and let their potential customers play with them in person. Apple previously attended the show, but left in 2009 after releasing updated versions of iWork, iLife and other products.
