Some people have a hard time with changes. Luckily, Apple’s never been shy about pushing people to update and get with the modern world. The .Mac HomePage service is being discontinued on November 8, 2010. Once the 8th comes and goes users won’t be able to edit or create web site pages with the service.
The files will however remain on iDisk accounts, so you don’t have to worry about your life’s work going up in flames if you forget about the deadline. There’s some good news in this pile of bad news: you can easily migrate to MobileMe or use iWeb to create your website. Personally I don’t recommend either, but that’s just how I roll.
