Supplies of iLife ’09 and iWork ’09 are drying up at Best Buy. If you’re looking to buy either software, you’re going to have to go looking for it somewhere else. As an aside, you probably shouldn’t be buying these things at Best Buy. Just a thought.
The online Best Buy store has the items listed as being on backorder, and therefore unavailable for another two to three weeks. It kind of fits nicely with the media event on Wednesday, doesn’t it?
Details aside, it seems like the two things we can expect at the event are new MacBook Airs, and now iLife and iWork 11. If the voracity of these rumors mean anything, and they usually do, it’s probably a safe bet to assume we’ll see those two products released on the 20th. We might not know exactly what’s coming in the device and software bundles, and the details are pretty vague at this point, but it’s probably coming none the less.
If you’re in the market for anything Apple at this point, it makes sense to wait until Thursday to make your orders.
