9 to 5 Mac is reporting that iLife ’09 supplies within the Apple Stores are low. Typically this means that there is a new version just around the corner.
This is not the first rumor we’ve heard about iLife ’11 arriving. A couple weeks back I reported that iLife ’11 books were appearing on Amazon stores that still include iDVD.
There has been speculation as to what will be included in the new iLife, other than updates. Some suggest there will be iOS integration and applications that are released simultaneously. Some of the potentially released applications might be Garage Band (with the ability to create ringtones on the iPhone maybe?), iPhoto for basic photo editing and even possibly a basic iWeb for posting stuff into the MobileMe gallery quickly. There have already been hints at this with iMovie for iPhone 4.
We expect any new version to be announced at the Back to The Mac event next week. I’m hoping for quick availability, and if there are iOS applications, I hope that they will be released quickly as well.
I guess now would be a good time to finally install the iLife ’09 suite that I got with the Mac Box Set I bought back in April in order to fully compare any new changes that may come with an update.
