Sooner or later Apple has to stop promoting the MobileMe brand, and instead start slapping iCloud on their products. We assumed that we wouldn’t start seeing that until iCloud sheds its beta designation; however, it seems like Apple’s already doing away with MobileMe.
If you send an event invitation from iCal while using Lion, you’ll now see iCloud attached at the bottom of the invite. It looks like the transition is well underway at Apple. Hopefully that beta tag is short-lived; those of us across the pond and up north (Europe and Canada) aren’t very fond of getting features later that the rest of you … grumble, grumble, grumble.
