Last year Apple’s Vice President of Mobile Advertising, Andy Miller, left Apple’s iAd team for a position at venture firm Highland Capital. Now Apple is losing another iAd executive, Mike Owen, former Senior Manager overseeing iAd’s New York office. Owens is taking a job as Chief Revenue Officer at the mobile video ad network AdColony.
Owen’s role at Apple’s New York office was arguably the most important because so many of the main people in the ad industry were situated in that area. His new position as CRO at AdColony is in Los Angeles where he will be responsible for overall company revenue.
Owen issued a statement concerning his decision and his thoughts on the future of video advertising.
