Griffin, a popular manufacturer of iOS device accessories, has introduced the second-generation MultiDock. This accessory is capable of syncing and charging up to 10 iOS devices and other USB devices at once. The MultiDock itself is crafted out of aluminum and was designed in collaboration with former Apple designer Thomas Meyerhoffer. The MultiDock also has a locking front door, so you can easily secure your tablets, smartphones, and multimedia devices when away from your desk.
While charging and syncing 10 USB devices at once may seem excessive for the average user, it’s surprisingly useful for developers, schools, and businesses. People in these scenarios need to constantly charge, sync, and deploy iOS devices, so having a way to do so without running 10 separate Lightning cables to your Mac is quite convenient.
The MultiDock will run you $699 when purchased directly through Griffin’s online store. The company will also offer a 30-device stacked model with a locking laptop tray that can fit up to a 15″ MacBook Pro. The stacked model will also have wheels for easy transportation. The MultiDock will be available to the public later this month.
