Google released a small update for Google Maps on iOS today, bringing a couple minor improvements that should make the app more enjoyable.
Some notes from the release:
What’s New in Version 2.3.4?
- Faster access to navigation, complete with route and traffic overview
- Tips and Tricks available in the side menu
- Arabic and Hebrew now supported, including voice guidance in navigation, where available
- Bug fixes
The main enhancements are small usability changes. It’s now much easier to go from searching for directions to being in navigation mode, and the app now automatically displays route and traffic information, with no need to manually turn it on.
The update also added Arabic and Hebrew support as well as traditional bug fixes.
