The popular business magazine Forbes has followed the path of other large publications and finally found its way into Apple’s Newsstand app.
This marks the first time that the magazine has been natively available on iOS. There have been Forbes made apps on the App Store, such as Forbes Photos & Videos and Forbes lists, but never the full magazine itself. The new Forbes Newsstand app is only available on the iPad and it can be purchased either individually or through subscription. Users can pay $5.99 for a single issue or get a substantially discounted price by signing up for a $2.99 monthly subscription or a $29.99 yearly subscription. Existing subscribers to the physical version of the magazine are able to pay an extra $10 to have access to the new digital version as well.
The arrival of Forbes on Newsstand continues to contribute to the growing popularity of magazines on tablets. The Wall Street Journal just released its Newsstand app only two weeks ago and just a month before that is when Time Magazine joined in on the trend.
iPad users can go download the new Forbes app and get the most recent issue free of charge for a limited time.
