While the Titanium PowerBook G4 doesn’t look like a stunner now, back in its day it was a game changer. At about an inch thick, it was nearly half the thickness of the previous generation of PowerBooks. The Titanium was sleek and sexy and put a serious dent in your wallet at a starting price tag of $2,599. While years later the entry level model made its way down to a measly $2,199. This model here, the 1GHz, would set you back $2,999. Ouch, right? This was the start of Apple’s portable revolution. People on both sides of the computing platform fence took notice. I actually haven’t thought much about this model in years so I thank you Keith Seekwhence for uploading your shot to our Macgasm Flickr Pool.
