Dropbox is by far one of my favorite cloud storage services for the web, Mac and iOS. And while I’m not a premium member, I’m definitely tempted to become one now. Why? Because the premium plans have been doubled while maintaining the same price. The 50GB plan ($99) has been upped to 100GB and the 100GB plan ($199) to 200GB. Dropbox has also introduced a new 500GB plan, which has yet to be priced.
These plans have most likely been put into place to compete with services like Microsoft’s SkyDrive and Google Drive who offer affordable plans with a ton of storage. Dropbox has been lagging behind as up until now they have been offering 50GB of storage for $99 per year.
