If you love platformer games as much as I do, you’ve probably already played Braid. It’s on a ton of platforms, and in my opinion, it’s one of the best games I’ve played over the last couple of years. The game is a couple of parts puzzle, a couple of parts Super Mario, and a couple of parts Van Gogh. If you don’t think those three things belong together in the same sentence, well, you’ve never played this game.
Braid’s been available on OS X for a while now, so I already own it, but now that it’s on the Mac App Store for $4.99, I thought I’d write you a nice little recommendation post. This game is fantastic and at $4.99 you can’t go wrong.
If you ever get a chance to read up on the developer and his philosophies on the current state of video games, do the research. In short, he feels that a lot of carrot-on-stick video games are unethical.
If you’re going to buy one indie game today, make it Braid. You’ll thank me later.
