Following in the steps of Verizon and T-Mobile, AT&T has rolled out its 4G LTE network in 15 new markets in the United States and has expanded its network in a number of locations that already had it. AT&T’s total 4G LTE network is now working in 124 markets.
The fifteen new markets include:
Boise, ID; Boulder, CO; Bowling Green and Lexington, KY; Harrisburg and Lancaster, PA; Hartford and New Haven, CT; Ogden, UT; Providence, RI; Green Bay, WI; Melbourne, FL; Oxford, MS; and Springfield, MA. Tuscon, AZ gained access on Tuesday, while the coverage has been expanded in Middlesex County, NJ; Phoenix, AZ; Salt Lake City, UT; and Los Angeles, CA.
AT&T’s market expansion comes a month after the company promised $14 billion to build its cell and wireline networks over the next three years. The expansion is expected to give $250 million U.S. residents access to the 4G LTE networks by the end of 2013, a number that will grow to $300 million by the end of 2014.
T-Mobile expanded its 4G networks earlier this week by 14 U.S. markets, and Verizon with 29 U.S. markets.
