Originally set to come out April 19th, the pushed back Steve Jobs documentary starring Ashton Kutcher now has a new official release date. August 16th.
The film, titled Jobs, was delayed from its original release date in an attempt to further generate buzz and awareness. It tells the story of young college dropout Steve Jobs as he progresses throughout his life, all the way to the esteemed place in which it ended.
The film was initially screened at the 2013 Sundance Film Festival, where it received mixed reviews. Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak in particular stated his concern that the film was over dramatizing or poorly depicting some of the events that had taken place.
Jobs isn’t the only biographical film about Apple’s late CEO that we have to look forward to though, acclaimed screenwriter Aaron Sorkin is also working on his own biopic titled, “Steve Jobs.”
