It took nearly a year for Apple to make good on the promise of a white iPhone 4. Manufacturing issues and quality control were seemingly to blame. Now though, we are getting yet another white rumor from Cupertino, and this time it’s for a white iPod touch.
Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, pretty widely known for providing key information regarding Apple products, claims that everyone’s favorite fruit themed technology company may be secretly working on the ever elusive white color, for iPod touch.
Rumors of a minor refresh to the iPod touch line began swirling last month when a new product reference ID became visible in an iOS release.
9 to 5 Mac has also gotten their hands on what appears to be photos of a white front plate that matches the current form factor, again pointing at only a minor refresh.
As with most rumors, we’ll have to wait and see if it actually comes to fruition. It could be a hoax, or even an Apple idea that just got scrapped due to the white iPhone struggles. The world may never know…
